PRIVACY POLICY.

LAST UPDATED: October 2026

Plain language: what this site collects, why, and how to have it removed.

Who is responsible

This site is run by Ashutosh Sharma (DevBehindYou), based in India. For anything about your data, email devbehindyou@gmail.com.

What I collect

Contact form: your name, email address and message, plus anything optional you add (phone number, subject, reason, budget). The server also records the IP address and browser user agent of the request, to filter spam.

Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.

Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views in aggregate. It uses no third-party cookies and identifies a visit only by a hash of the request, discarded after 24 hours.

This site sets no cookies for visitors. The only cookie is the admin sign-in cookie, used by me.

Why I collect it

To reply to your enquiry and manage the work that follows, to send the newsletter you asked for, to keep spam out, and to see which pages are useful. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.

Where it is stored

Messages, leads and subscriber emails are stored in a MongoDB Atlas database. The site is hosted on Vercel. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them. These providers may process data outside your country.

How long I keep it

Enquiries and the related lead records are kept for up to 24 months after the last contact, then deleted. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or unsubscribe, by emailing devbehindyou@gmail.com. You get an answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 give you these rights and the right to complain to a regulator.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
